My name is Kaitlyn Faria, the director and owner of Faria Tutoring Academy. I started this company at twenty-six years old with a passion for teaching and a love for helping students experience that lightbulb moment go off and feel confident in their academic abilities.

With a love for teaching at such a young age, I set out to achieve my goals of being an educator quite early. Through volunteering with students with learning disabilities at the elementary level and working for a summer camp, my desire to be a teacher only grew. I decided to pursue my dreams after receiving my undergraduate degree, by completing my teaching degree in Peterborough, Ontario. Through this experience, I learned a lot about who I wanted to be as an educator and role model for my students, which is why I then decided to pursue a Master of Educational Studies degree with a strong research background in Mental Health Education and Race in Education.

I decided to build Faria Tutoring Academy around my belief that I am a life-long learner. Education provides ample opportunities for growth, acceptance, perspective and allows us to challenge and push ourselves in various ways. I built Faria Tutoring Academy so that students can challenge themselves, grow, and gain the confidence to continually build on their academic skills to set a strong foundation for their future.
